(hereinafter referred to as "the Employer")

WHEREAS the Employee and the Employer wish to enter into an employment agreement governing the terms and conditions of employment;
THIS AGREEMENT WITNESSETH that in consideration of the premises and mutual covenants and agreements hereinafter contained, and for other good and valuable consideration (the receipt and sufficiency of which is hereby acknowledged by the parties hereto), it is agreed by and between the parties hereto as follows:
1. Term of Employment
The employment of the Employee shall commence the date hereof and continue for a period of time designated by the Guidance Department as to the length to fulfill the necessary required credits.
2. Compensation and Benefits
In consideration of the services to be provided by the Employee during the term of his/her employment, shall be paid a base salary of $50.00 per day in classroom cash with a $100.00 classroom cash signing bonus, in arrears, less applicable statutory deductions. In addition, the Employee is entitled to receive benefits in accordance with the Employer's standard benefit package stated in the handbook, as amended from time to time.
3. Duties and Responsibilities
The Employee shall be employed in the capacity of a student, the current duties and responsibilities of which are set out in Schedule "A" found on www.oldmanmoney.com and the Fluvanna County High School Student Handbook forming part of this agreement. These duties and responsibilities may be amended from time to time at the sole discretion of the Employer, subject to formal notification of same being provided to the Employee. The parent/guardian of the Employee is responsible for checking the student’s grades on their parent portal and should contact the Employer if there are any questions or problems (email: [email protected])
4. Interpretation of Agreement
The validity, interpretation, construction and performance of this agreement shall be governed by the Laws of the Fluvanna County High School as per the Handbook. This agreement shall be interpreted with all necessary changes in gender and in number as the context may require and shall ensure to the benefit of and be binding upon the respective successors and assigns of the parties hereto. Superseding any above mentioned responsibilities, the Employer may at their discretion give any grade for any reason without providing evidence for such decision.

Class Rules and Expectations
1) Objective: The students will be able to describe our economic system, and be able to demonstrate how to use the different financial tools such as banking, stocks, bonds, insurance, taxes, savings, other investments, credit, that they will use in their everyday life.
2) Daily Grading:
a) Test/Projects…25% (projects are weighted 3 times)(all tests are timed)
b) Quizzes…25%
c) Classwork/Homework…25%
d) Participation…25%
3) Final Grading:
a) First 9 Weeks…40%
b) Second 9 Weeks…40%
c) Exam…20%
4) Absences: absent means missing more than 1/3 of a class; missing more than 10 days could result in failure

1) Pay is $50 (classroom cash) per day...IF YOU ARE ABSENT, YOU DON'T GET PAID
2) marketwatch.com stock game information may be requested each week as part of your class participation grade.
3) Grade Health Insurance Contracts are listed below.
4) All assignments may be completed as many times as you want during the same week without a fee or the need to use your insurance, tests are not included. You can not take the re-test the same day. You must use your insurance to re-do any test. Any assignment that is not completed by the end of the week (during your class period), must be made-up using your insurance. Your make up should be sent to me by email with your block number, the testmoz number and your score. Quizlets need to be completed in class and shown to me on completion. If you have to complete it away from class, you must use your insurance and the cost is $50. Take a screenshot and email it to me...a 70% or better must be scored on a make-up assignments to be counted...if you do not complete the poster testmoz quiz, you will lose 10 points for your participation grade
5) An $100 information access fee will be automatically billed to your account each week.
6) Not following Directions will be a $50 fine (ie: not putting in the correct login for testmoz, no block # in emails, clicking answers on true/false test)
7) Late: $50 for the first 2 times, then it is a $100 fine
8) CHEATING: $200 fine, a zero on the work with no ability to make-up that assignment
9) Skipping class is a $200 fine, a zero on the work for the day
10) Phone out during "screens go dark"...$100 fine first offense, $200 for each additional affense
11) If you don't have a "C" or better average, you will not be allowed to play games, be on your phone, or any other non-class activity.
Work Area Rental Agreement
The Tenant known as ___________________________, hereby agrees to rent the space in room 4606 from the Representative of the Rental Company for the duration of the Economics and Personal Finance Class. The rental shall include a work area, computer, mouse, and chair.
The term shall commence on the first day of class.
The rental fee of $50.00 per week will be paid in full by auto-bill pay on Friday of each week. A $50.00 security deposit is due when the rental agreement is signed. The Tenant will be refunded this amount upon request at the end of the semester if deductions have not be made for clean-up or maintenance beyond reasonable use.
The landlord (The Rental Company) reserves the right to conduct unannounced inspections of the property, and any work being completed with the equipment.
Any damages or irregularities must be reported immediately to the Representative or the tenant will be held liable.

A claim to retake a test or other missing grades may be rejected if the policy holder didn't make an effort to do well on any assessment.
